Metal Casting Production

Century Brass Works specializes in short run metal casting production of 1 to 1000 pieces per month using a wide range of red brasses, aluminum and manganese bronzes, and aluminum alloys with our electrical induction and resistance furnaces. We melt certified ingots with grain refiners added to ensure the maximum physical properties of the alloys to make for an easily machined casting.

All of our ingots are certified and inspected prior to use to maintain the highest quality castings. Before each pour, a sample is taken and measured on the vernal hardness scale to ensure optimum strength and durability.

In our sand casting foundry, we have both manual squeezers and automatic molding lines. Loose mold work and no-bake molding add to our versatility, which allows us to cast a variety of parts for multiple industries. Our electric furnaces reduce waste in material and energy consumption while producing a higher quality component.

Value-Added Services

With your initial design and specifications, we work closely with you and our local pattern makers to develop the proper tooling for a quality part. Upon completion, we label and store your pattern in a protected secure area.

Century Brass Works offers CNC and conventional machining services. Our equipment covers a full range of machining capabilities, including milling, drilling, punching, grinding and cut-to-length. We machine parts up 36″ long and 20″ wide.  Our lathes turn castings up to 18″ in diameter. You benefit from greater consistency, accuracy and repeatability part after part.

We finish your components with your choice of heat treating, anodizing, polishing and chrome plating to enhance the value of your product. Century Brass also produces bronze plaques designed for bridges, name plates, dedication plaques and other applications.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality control is essential in our production process. All alloys are monitored to ensure proper chemical composition during the production process. Machined parts are continuously inspected to assure critical tolerance.
